Audience of One - Week 43


What we have done
We have divided our project work into long and short term goals, each of them building up to the final solution. We have conducted the desktop research consisting of an overview of current services providing access to personalized information, articles touching upon the topic and useful videos containing interviews with experts discussing the matter.

The desktop research will serve us as background for a better understanding of what is out there and what kind of challenges and weaknesses, that have to be faced and addressed in the project. The desktop research is also going to be a starting point to formulate a more specific and detailed idea of how to deliver tailored news to individuals.

What we will do
Based on the desktop research we will review and compare the services and outline important problems that will help us to form interview questions that we will ask in the survey/focus group and to industry specialists. This on the other hand will lead us to filter what individuals might want/prefer.

Problems encountered
How to present a “service” that might appear to be quite complex in an accessible way. To create an idea of how it could work in practice without really focusing on inner technical side such as algorithms.
